<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a selection method for a steel pipe suitable for a CFT(Concrete Filled Steel Tube) column used for a civil engineering and building structure. <P>SOLUTION: In a method for designing a CFT column, high strength concrete is used as a concrete to be filled in a steel pipe, and as this steel pipe, a steel pipe by which proof stress of a CFT column becomes highest is selected among a plurality of steel pipes. A column deformation angle is found at which the maximum proof stress is obtained in a concrete column obtained by filling the inside of the steel pile with the high strength concrete, rupture occurs at more than the column deformation angle multiplied by a safety factor among the plurality of steel pipes, and a steel pipe is selected of which steel pipe end moment is the largest at the column deformation angle at which the maximum proof stress is obtained in the concrete column. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
