<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an in vitro method for determining the risk of a cytokine release syndrome in a human being induced by a compound of interest. <P>SOLUTION: The method comprises the steps of: a) providing a whole blood sample, where the blood has been exposed to the compound of interest for at least 30 minutes, b) measuring the level of pentraxin-3 in the sample, and c) comparing the measured level of pentraxin-3 with a control. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
