<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To excellently satisfy a request on responsiveness of a variable valve gear different in the responsiveness according to a control direction of a working angle of a valve, when achieving the variable speed cam function by using a configuration driving a driving camshaft by torque of a crankshaft, in a variable valve gear of an internal combustion engine. <P>SOLUTION: This variable valve gear includes: a guide member 36 having a raceway surface 36a1 formed so as to cover the driving camshaft 12; a link mechanism 35 for changing a rotation angle of a driven cam lobe 18a relative to the driving camshaft 12 in response to a positional change of a control roller 32 rolling on the raceway surface 36a1; and an actuator 46 and a return spring 44 for reciprocating the guide member 36. The actuator 46 has a control cam 48 contacting with the guide member 36. Two cam lobe noses 48a of the control cam 48 are formed so that a first control angle up to a nose point of the first cam lobe 48a from one side intersection between a profile of the first cam lobe 48a and a profile of a base circle is smaller than a second control angle up to one side intersection between a profile of the second cam lobe 48a and the profile of the base circle from the nose point of the first cam lobe 48a. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
