<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner for electrostatic latent image development, the toner which hardly causes contamination of a latent image carrier or a developing sleeve by an isolated external additive of the toner, and which can suppress image deletion and generation of dielectric breakdown in an image forming device that includes a combination of a latent image carrier having a photosensitive layer made of thin film amorphous silicon and a cleaning unit having an elastic blade. <P>SOLUTION: The toner for electrostatic latent image development comprises toner base particles containing at least a binder resin and a colorant, and an external additive adhering to the surfaces of the toner base particles. An external additive including at least conductive abrasive fine particles and silica is used. An isolation rate of the conductive abrasive fine particles in the toner for electrostatic latent image development is controlled to 40 to 80 mass%, measured by classifying the conductive abrasive fine particles isolated in the toner for electrostatic latent image development by using an elbow-jet type air flow classifying machine. The average circularity of the toner for electrostatic latent image development is controlled to less than 0.96. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
