<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce degradation of detection accuracy. <P>SOLUTION: An encoder includes: a magnetic field forming unit having a magnet forming a magnetic pattern; a rotation unit that has a concave portion at least a part of which is constituted of a magnetic material, in which the magnetic field forming unit is disposed on a side face of the concave portion, and that rotates integrally with a rotation axis of a measurement object; and a magnetic field detection unit that is disposed facing the side face of the concave portion and detects a magnetic field by the magnetic pattern. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
