The image synthesizing unit (156) then connects the received pixel values under a predetermined rule to generate a virtual synthesized image and outputs the generated virtual synthesized image as a stream. A control unit (164) of an image transmitting unit (151) notifies a data selection unit (154) of a request from a host terminal. The data selection unit (154) selects and extracts necessary data from streams of the data of a synthesized image, a RAW image, and a 1/1 after de-mosaiced image, which are respectively input from the image synthesizing unit (156) and an image aquiring unit and a de-mosaic unit both provided at a previous stage, and generates a stream of the data to be transmitted. A packetizing unit (162) packetizes the stream and transmits the packetized stream to the host terminal.
