<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic pen capable of suppressing a load on a user and reliably acquiring coordinate data when the user draws a line using a ruler or the like. <P>SOLUTION: An electronic pen 100 includes a first camera 201 and a second camera 202. An image processing unit 203 performs image processing on a dot pattern acquired by an activated camera out of the two cameras. A coordinate detection unit 204 detects coordinate data from the dot pattern subjected to the image processing.
