<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel and improved method for controlling power of reverse link. <P>SOLUTION: A reverse link signal transmitted in a reverse link transmission power comprises, at least, a traffic channel transmitted in a traffic channel transmission power, and a pilot channel transmitted in a pilot channel transmission power. In a reception system, reception energy of the pilot channel is measured, and a decrease power control command is generated when the reception energy is greater than a reception energy threshold. If the reception energy is less than the reception energy threshold, an increase power control command is generated.
