The intra-oral X-ray imaging device for detecting X-rays from outside an oral cavity of the present invention, comprises: a frame; an X-ray radiating unit, installed onto and supported by the frame, and which emits X-rays through an X-ray radiating passage formed at a side of a portion for insertion into the oral cavity; and an X-ray detecting unit (Detector), placed on the frame such that it is spaced apart from the X-ray radiating unit, and which is mobile such that the spacing is adjustable. As described above, the intra-oral X-ray imaging device and method therefor, according to the present invention, provide images of superior quality by eliminating ghost images, which can cause imaging diagnosis confusion, because X-ray is provided at a low dose since the X-ray radiating unit is situated inside the oral cavity. In addition, accurate images without distortion can be obtained and the probability of obtaining an accurate image from each portion of a tooth is raised because the distance between the X-ray radiating unit and the X-ray Detector is minimized. |
