<p>A viscosity/resilience measurement device comprises: a container into which a substance is introduced, the substance is the subject of measurement and the viscosity or resilience thereof is to be detected; a floating rotor that is arranged in a floating condition in the substance that is the subject of measurement, that is plate-shaped, being constituted by a conductive structural element, and circular in plan view; a magnet that applies a magnetic field to the floating rotor in the direction perpendicular to the surface of the substance that is the subject of measurement; a rotary magnetic field control section with which a rotary magnetic field is applied to the floating rotor by driving the magnet, thereby inducing an induced current in a conductor in the floating rotor, which is thus rotated by application of rotary torque to the floating rotor, this rotary torque being produced by Lorentz interaction of the induced current and the magnetic field that is applied to the floating rotor; and a viscosity detection section that detects the viscosity or resilience of the substance that is the subject of measurement and is in contact with the floating rotor, by means of the rotational condition of the floating rotor.</p> |
