<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To diversify items in a recommendation list presented to a user. <P>SOLUTION: A formula of Diversity of a list made up of a plurality of items is defined as a formula (1) representing a sum total of distances on a taxonomy from a class to which an item belongs and a class to which another item belongs, and an item within an upper-level list L is replaced with an item within an out-of-zone list M such that the Diversity thereof becomes maximum.
