<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To continue calculation of motor rotating angle with low current consumption while ensuring reliability for the motor rotating angle even in a period when motor control is stopped. <P>SOLUTION: Main calculation means 101 is put into a first operating state in which a brushless motor 5 is controlled and a second operating state in which motor control is stopped. Auxiliary calculation means 102 monitors the main calculation means 101 by first monitoring means 106 in the first state, and calculates the motor rotating angle in the second state. Thus, even while motor control is stopped, calculation of the motor rotating angle can be continued. The auxiliary calculation means 102 performs monitoring by second monitoring means 201 to ensure reliability. In the second operating state, the motor rotating angle is calculated in a second operation period longer than a first operation period in the first operating state, so as to enable reduction in current consumption. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
