<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coolant ejection device which is used for supplying a coolant to a portion to be machined, has enhanced drip-proof property and dust-proof property and can be made compact. <P>SOLUTION: A hollow shaft 13 of a motor nozzle unit 4 is connected to a rotary joint mechanism 4 and these components are housed in a case 2. The rotation angle of the hollow shaft 13 is adjusted by a motor 12 being a stepping motor, so that the rotary movement of a nozzle 11 is controlled. The coolant is supplied from a fixed pipe line 21 of the rotary joint mechanism 4 and ejected from the nozzle 11 through a passage 13A of the hollow shaft 13. Since the coolant passage 13A is formed in the hollow shaft 13 being an output shaft of the motor 12, the coolant ejection device can be made compact, in particular, the axial direction dimension thereof can be shortened, also since the number of portions required to be sealed is reduced, the drip-proof property and dust-proof property of the coolant ejection device 1 can be enhanced. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
