<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display medium capable of suppressing deterioration of contrast in an image to realize high contrast even when image display operation is repeatedly performed. <P>SOLUTION: Display particles are used in an image display medium 10 that applies an electric field between substrates 11, 21 at least one of which has light transmissivity, and moves a display particle group 5 to perform image display operation. The display particle group includes at least two types of display particles 5A, 5B having different charge polarity and optical reflection concentration with each other. At least one type of the display particles includes a coloring resin particle formed of at least a binder resin and a pigment, and a first fine particle adhered or fixed to the coloring resin particle. The volume reference average particle diameter of the coloring resin particle is 3 μm to 15 μm, the shape coefficient of the coloring resin particle is 120 to 145, and the average particle diameter of the first fine particle is 80 nm to 500 nm. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
