<p>Disclosed are a method and an apparatus for mobile terminal retrieval and information protection. The method comprises: setting a forcefully pushed communication number for a mobile terminal; when the mobile terminal is switched on, determining consistency between current subscriber identification module card identity information of the mobile terminal and pre-stored subscriber identification module identity information, and when it is determined that they are inconsistent, executing a limited mode; and in the limited mode, when the mobile terminal initiates a call, redirecting a target communication number of the current call to the forcefully pushed communication number. When a mobile terminal is lost, the present invention may assist the owner of lost property in obtaining a clue and the initiative for retrieving the mobile terminal, so as to reduce loss of the owner of lost property, and may ensure security of information in the mobile terminal at the same time.</p> |
