B FOOT JOINT FOR A TRANSVERSE FLUTE

The B foot joint for a transverse flute is a component part of the flute. The B foot joint is in the form of a cylindrical tube (1) and comprises lever mechanisms (3) and a system of valves (2). The system (2) comprises a C valve (13), a C# valve (17), a D-D# valve (21) and a B valve (4). The C valve (13) comprises a key in the form of a roller (14) with a contacting surface (15). The C# valve (17) comprises a key (18) with a contacting surface (19). The D-D# valve (21) comprises a key (22) with a roller (23). The B valve (4) comprises a key (5) which can be used autonomously and on which a contacting surface (6) is formed. An additional two-part key (8) is provided. The interaction of key (5) with key (8) makes it possible to produce the note B harmoniously. Key (8) consists of a component part in the form of a roller (9) and a crescent-shaped component part (10) with a roller (12) and a rear contacting surface (11). Key (8) can interact with keys (14) and (18) of the C valve (13) and C# valve (17), respectively, and with the surface (6) of key (5) of the B valve (4). The key in the form of a roller (14), the part in the form of a roller (9), and roller (12) and roller (23) are made from fluoroplastic. The technical solution makes it possible to increase the fingering combinations, extend the functional, technical and playing possibilities and improve the performance qualities of the flute.
