Producing thermoplastic polyurethane-urea materials with biocidal properties, comprises reacting component-A with component-B in presence of additives, carrying out polyaddition reaction in presence of additional subcomponent (A5) containing a biocidally active compound with an amide or amino functional group in the molecule, and further processing the polyurethane-urea materials, where component-A comprises e.g. (A1) at least one long-chain dihydroxy compound, and the component-B comprises (B1) at least one diisocyanate and/or (B2) prepolymers based on diols with free monomeric diisocyanate. Producing thermoplastic polyurethane-urea materials with biocidal properties, comprises reacting a component-A with a component-B in presence of additives, carrying out polyaddition reaction in the presence of an additional subcomponent (A5) containing at least one biocidally active compound with at least one amide or amino functional group in the molecule, and simultaneously or subsequently further processing the polyurethane-urea materials. The component-A comprises (A1) at least one long-chain dihydroxy compound e.g. polyester diol, polyether diol, polytetrahydrofuran, polycaprolactone, polycarbonate and/or poly-alpha , omega -dihydroxybutadiene, (A2) at least one short-chain diol e.g. butane-1,4-diol, hexane-1,6-diol, ethylene glycol, diethylene glycol, (A3) at least one secondary diamine and optionally (A4) at least one catalyst, and the component-B comprises (B1) at least one diisocyanate and/or (B2) prepolymers based on diols having a portion of free monomeric diisocyanate (0-50 wt.%). Independent claims are also included for: (1) the thermoplastic polyurethane-urea materials with biocidal properties, producible by the above method; and (2) a molded body made of thermoplastic polyurethane-urea materials with biocidal properties, producible by the above method. |
