PURPOSE: An apparatus for removing a bird's nest in a blast furnace is provided to improve the permeability of a blast furnace by shooting a projectile charged with an expandable material to break a bird's nest in the blast furnace. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for removing a bird's nest in a blast furnace comprises a shooter(100) installed in a pulverized coal injection lance(400), a projectile(200) which is charged with an expandable material that expands when colliding with a bird's nest(530) and air-tightly embedded in the shooter, and a firing unit(300) which provides the projectile with a driving force so that the projectile collides against the bird's nest of a blast furnace(500). The firing unit includes a compressor which is connected to the shooter through a connection hose to provide high-pressure gas to the inside of the shooter and a control valve which selectively opens and closes the connection hose.
