PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for determining base sequence of single-stranded target nucleic acids are provided to accurately determine the base sequence without a high-sensitivity optical device. CONSTITUTION: A method for determining base sequence of single-stranded target nucleic acids comprises: a step of preparing first and second chambers containing polymerase fixed surround a nanopore(111); a step of adding different NTP(nucleotide tri-phosphate) or dNTP(ddeoxy-nucleotide tri-phosphate) and single-stranded target nucleic acids into the first(100) or second(200) chamber; and a step of measuring electric signal generated when the single-stranded target nucleic acids passes through the nanopore.
