PURPOSE: A portable terminal including a Wi-Fi connection discrimination function is provided to promote the connection rate of a portable terminal by distinguishing the signal strength of the Wi-Fi. CONSTITUTION: A control module of a smart phone stores the name and location signal of the currently connected Wi-Fi AP(Access Point) in a history storage DB(Data Base)(S3). When the currently connected Wi-Fi AP is satisfied with detailed conditions, the control module blocks the automatic connection of the currently connected Wi-Fi AP(S5,S7). The detailed conditions are related to the name and the connected location of the connected wireless AP.
