The humidification cell of a fuel cell device comprises a first outer plate (9a) and a second outer plate (9b). A gas chamber (21), a humidification water chamber (31) and a water-permeable membrane (5) separating the two chambers are arranged between the first outer plate and the second outer plate. A first water-permeable support element is arranged between the first outer plate and the water-permeable membrane. A second water-permeable support element is arranged between the water-permeable membrane and second outer plate. The first and second support elements are made of a woven fabric.
