<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a graphite material for cathode of non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery, which makes a lithium-ion secondary battery good in initial efficiency and cycle performance, and large in charge/discharge capacity. <P>SOLUTION: The graphite material for cathode of non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery has specific graphite material particles as the main ingredient. When the graphite material particles of 40 pts.mass are dissolved and dispersed in distilled water of 100 pts.mass, the dispersion solution has a pH from 7.0 to 9.0. In a method for processing the graphite material particles, a carbon material is crushed having a CTE from 4.8×10<SP>-6</SP>/°C to 6.0×10<SP>-6</SP>/°C at a temperature from 30°C to 100°C, and the powder obtained is made into the graphite material in an Atchison furnace at a temperature of 2,500°C or more. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
