The present application provides a flexible combustor fuel nozzle (100). The flexible combustor fuel nozzle (100) may include a main passage (120) in communication with a source of natural gas (260) and a source of low BTU fuel (270), a secondary passage (150) surrounding the main passage (120) and in communication with the source of low BTU fuel (270) and a source of purge air (280), and a tertiary passage (180) surrounding the secondary passage (150) and in communication with the source of low BTU fuel (270), the source of purge air (280), and a source of diluent (300).
