The component i.e. door (2), has a structural element (8) placed in a tubular cavity (6) that comprises a contact surface, where the contact surface is accessible by an opening in an outer side of the component. A rear view mirror is fastened at a cup-shaped holding bracket that comprises two contact surfaces. The contact surfaces of the bracket rest against the contact surface of the cavity, and the outer side of the component. A connecting bolt connects the structural element and the bracket within a region of the contact surface of the cavity and one of the contact surfaces of the bracket. The structural element is designed as a metal sheet component, a plastic injection-molded component, a pressure casting component, a hybrid component e.g. plastic metal composite component and organic sheet component or a foamed plastic component. |
