<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-output, though compact, fuel cell by enhancing reaction efficiency of fuel and exhausting efficiency of reaction product at a fuel electrode. <P>SOLUTION: The fuel cell is provided with a flow channel plate 6 forming a first flow channel supplying liquid fuel to a fuel electrode with and a second flow channel 15 exhausting exhaust gas from the above fuel electrode, the first flow channel and the second one separated from each other. The fuel electrode is provided with an electrode layer containing catalyst at an electrolyte film side and a diffusion layer at a flow channel plate side, as well as a permeation inhibiting layer 51, inhibiting supply of the liquid fuel from the first flow channel to the diffusion layer, which 51 is equipped with a through-hole 52 or a through-groove with a conductor arranged inside. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
