<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell system and an operation method of the fuel cell system in which fuel consumption at the time of warming up the fuel cell can be reduced. <P>SOLUTION: When it is determined that a catalyst combustor 41 is used, the supply of hydrogen and air to the catalyst combustor 41 is started. Then, by starting the supply of a coolant to the catalyst combustor 41, a temperature variation amount ΔT of the fuel cell 10 is calculated, and based on the temperature variation amount ΔT, the fuel cell temperature T1 for stopping the supply of hydrogen to the catalyst combustor 41 is determined. When the temperature of the fuel cell 10 reaches T1 or higher, the supply of hydrogen to the catalyst combustor 41 is stopped. Then, the temperature variation amount ΔT is calculated again, and when the temperature variation amount ΔT reaches a prescribed value or lower, the supply of the coolant to the catalyst combustor 41 is stopped. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
