A device 200 includes a display, a gaze tracking system to track and identify a point on the display 820 to which a user of the device is directing their gaze, a face tracking system to determine a distance 840 of the face of the user of the device from the display, and a processor which receives a location of the point on the display from the gaze tracking system and the determined distance. The processor outputs an instruction to a device display controller, the device display controller in response either zooms in on the point on the display or zooms out from the point on the display, and the zoom is modified as a result of the determination of the face tracking system. The display controller may zoom in on point 820 when the point is moving closer to the userâ s face. Alternatively the image of text 810 may be maintained at a steady level of magnification (zoom) in relation to the users face by growing or shrinking the text to compensate for the change in distance between the display and the userâ s face.
