PURPOSE: A method and a system for determining the center gas flow in a blast furnace are provided to determine the center gas flow in a blast furnace by analyzing gas components passing through the inside of the furnace and control the center gas flow, thereby processing furnace equipment and improving productivity. CONSTITUTION: A method for determining the center gas flow in a blast furnace comprises the steps of: detecting the volume of bosh gas generated in the bosh of a blast furnace the volume of top gas passing through a top part, and analyzing the amount of nitrogen included in the bosh gas and the top gas to evaluate the suitability of center gas flow in the blast furnace.
