PURPOSE: A device and a method for casting high melting point metal are provided to prevent under charge of molten metal in a mold due to low temperature by preheating the mold before injection of molten metal into the mold. CONSTITUTION: A device for casting high melting point metal comprises a first chamber(12) which contains a crucible(14) therein to melt metal, a second chamber(16) which is connected to the side of the first chamber and contains a mold(30) therein, an opening and closing unit(40) which selectively opens and closes a molten metal path connected between the first and second chambers in an airtight manner, a vacuum unit(90) which is connected to the first and second chambers to create a vacuum in the first and second chambers, a compression unit which is connected to the first chamber and applies pressure to the first chamber, a rotating unit(70) which rotates the first chamber to locate the second chamber at the bottom so that molten metal in the crucible can be dropped into the mold of the second chamber, and a preheating unit(80) which is installed inside the second chamber and preheats the mold.
