<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for generating vein information for registration close to vein information acquired upon authentication when the vein information is registered in an authentication device that uses the vein information. <P>SOLUTION: In a method for generating registration information in the vein authentication device that performs authentication processing using the vein information of a user, the vein authentication device performs the step of taking a plurality of vein images for the same finger of the same user, the step of temporarily storing the taken vein images in a storing section, determining whether the images are appropriate, performing averaging processing on the image information if the vein images are appropriate, and weighting the image information, and the step of generating a vein image for registration based on a result of the weighting. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
