The method involves dividing a track section (nminus1,n,nplus1) in one or more sectors (S1 to Sz), where a response module is connected or interposed between two rail sections (An,Bn). The response module changes individually by signals supplied from a measuring device. The measuring device checks the change of signals or individual response signals, and assigns a corresponding allocation status. The measuring device (10n,10nplus1) is designed as a transmitting unit (11) which emits an interrogation signal in the form of a temporarily applied direct current voltage. An independent claim is included for a system for monitoring a track section, on which rail vehicles, such as passenger trains and freight trains are associated. |
