The present invention is to provide a filling/packaging machine which makes it possible to obtain a sealed container sealed by placing a cap formed from a synthetic resin sheet-like cap material on a synthetic resin container filled with a content such as soft drinks. A synthetic resin bottomed tubular container body fed by a container feeding device is filled with a content; a synthetic resin formed cap which has a disk-shaped cap body and a skirt part provided such that it is suspended from a peripheral part of the cap body is primarily formed from a sheet-like cap material; a formed cap is fed to an opening at an upper end of a container body filled with a content; the opening at the upper end of the container body is sealed with the formed cap to make a sealed container; then, the cap of the sealed container is secondarily formed into a final cap shape. A primarily formed cap, which is incompletely formed, can be completely formed by the secondary forming device, and product containers, which are equivalent to those using conventional cap materials wherein an aluminum foil layer is used as a base material, is obtained with the use of synthetic resin cap materials.
