PURPOSE: A sensor node with radar and a vehicle detecting method using the same are provided to accurately detect the existence of a vehicle, the speed of the vehicle, occupation time, occupation rate and the length of the vehicle without effects due to road environment and climate change. CONSTITUTION: Radar(10) senses a reflected and returned radar signal. A terrestrial magnetic sensor(11) senses a magnetic field signal according to the intensity variation of terrestrial magnetism. A controller(12) detects a vehicle using the radar signal. The controller recognizes the magnetic field signal and detects traffic information of the vehicle. A wireless communication unit(13) transmits the detected traffic information to the outside.
