PURPOSE: An optical film, a manufacturing method thereof, and an image display device are provided to improve productivity by eliminating an adhesion process of a resin film and a contractile film. CONSTITUTION: An optical film(10) forms a double refraction layer(12) on a contractile film. A material for forming the double refraction layer is directly spread on the compressible film and a conductive layer is formed. The conductive layer contracts by contraction of the contractile film. The contractile film and laminates of the conductive layer are extended to a retracting direction with a contraction direction of the conductive layer. Extension magnification of the laminates is a range of 1.01-3times in the extension process. Contraction magnification of the conductive layer is a range of 0.5-0.99times in the contraction process. |
