<p>PURPOSE: A recognition type LED streetlight with an automatic on and off control structure is provided to reduce power consumption by automatically controlling the on and off of the LED streetlight according to a passerby. CONSTITUTION: A recognition sensor(11) includes a transmitting unit and a receiving unit. A sensor(14) is composed of a transmitting device and a receiving device. The transmitting device transmits a detection signal according to a horizontal width. The receiving device receives the detection signal transmitted from the transmitting device. A control device(12) determines the time and location of the streetlight which is turned on according to the signals from the recognition sensor and the sensor composed of the transmitting device and the receiving device.
