A wheel guard for a wheeled vehicle such as a pushchair 24, comprising a cover 13, that is arranged to cover a portion of the outer periphery of the wheel 12. The guard further comprises means for selectively locking the cover in a first position, in which the cover 13 is arranged to catch debris that is flung off the wheel 12 when rolling over a surface, and at least two second positions in which the cover 13 is arranged to space the wheel 12 from the surface and thus prevent any debris on the wheel from being transferred onto the surface. When in the at least two second positions, there is preferably provided means for facilitating movement of the vehicle over the surface. This may be in the form of a roller bearing 32. The wheel guard has been devised in order to prevent wheeling dirty wheels over a clean surface such as a carpet. |
