A vehicle airbag device includes: an inflator (11) that generates a high-pressure gas in the event of a shock; an airbag pocket section (10) that includes an inflation absorbing section (13) and a gas introduction section (14), that is accommodated in an upper portion of a vehicle body opening section in a folded state, and that expands in a downward direction when the high-pressure gas generated from the inflator (11) is introduced into the airbag pocket section (10); a separation section (20) that is provided at an end of the airbag pocket section (10) along the vehicle body opening section, and that separates the inflation absorbing section (13) from the gas introduction section (14); and a connection section (21) that connects an upper edge section with a lower edge section in a suspending manner.
