PURPOSE: An auto cruise control system of hybrid vehicle and a method thereof are provided to control the vehicles to drive at constant speed. CONSTITUTION: An auto cruise control system(100) of a hybrid vehicle comprises navigation(110) and a cruise control unit(120). If the steady speed driving function is selected by an operator, the navigation provides a map of driving road which is received through GPS, aptitude, and location information. The navigation provides the slope information of the driving road by measuring thereof. The cruise control unit determines the slope type (upraise, downhill, and the plain) of the road based on the information from the navigation.
