PURPOSE: A remote monitoring system and method are provided to reduce a communication bandwidth and a communication route by directly providing fault information and data from a monitoring unit of a user to a mobile communication device of a manager. CONSTITUTION: A monitoring unit(100) includes a communication means(23) and an information processing controller(20). The communication means is a wireless internet connection means using a dynamic IP. The information processing controller controls the communication means to notify an IP address to an information repeater on wireless internet. The information repeater includes an IP data base(37) and an IP repeater(32). The IP database stores the IP address of the monitoring unit. The IP repeater updates new IP address on the IP database.
