PURPOSE: A manufacturing method of a compressed powder core and the compressed powder core obtained by the manufacturing method are provided to form a compressed forming body and oxidize ironware soft magnetic powder, thereby increasing an insulating property. CONSTITUTION: Ironware soft magnetic powder for a compressed forming body is used for forming an insulating film on an ironware soft magnetic powder surface. A mixture includes the ironware soft magnetic powder for the compressed forming body and an oxygen source releasing compound. A heating process heats the compressed forming body. The heating process oxidizes at least a surface of the ironware soft magnetic powder by the oxygen source releasing compound.
