Hydrocarbon binder having zero or negative results of carbon dioxide equivalent emissions, comprises at least one bitumen and at least one compound of plant origin, where the weight ratio of the hydrocarbon binder is 40-90 wt.% of bitumen having a carbon dioxide content of greater than 200 kg/t, and 5-40 wt.% of plant resin having carbon dioxide content of less than 1000 kg/t. Independent claims are included for: (1) a material comprising granule and/or binder; (2) a layer or construction coating comprising the material; (3) preparing the hydrocarbon binder, comprising (a) selecting the bitumen, the plant resin, optionally plasticizer and optionally at least one additive, (b) choosing the bitumen (40-90 wt.%), vegetable resin (5-40 wt.%) and plasticizer (0-30 wt.%), (c) calculating the equivalent amounts of carbon dioxide for each constituent of the binder in the step (b) due to the process for obtaining and its transport to the site of producing hydrocarbon binder, (d) calculating the quantities of carbon dioxide equivalents from the preparation of the binder by mixing the various constituents of the binder, (e) adding the amounts of the binder obtained in step (c) and (d) and the quantity of the binder is = 0, (f) if the obtained quantity of the binder is >= 0, modifying the constituent proportions of the binder in step (c) and step (e), and (g) preparing the hydrocarbon binder by mixing the different constituents; and (4) preparing the material, comprising the steps (a)-(f) as above per se, (h) preparing the binder by mixing the different constituents, (i) calculating the quantities of carbon dioxide equivalents due to transporting the binder to the site of producing material, (j) calculating the amount of carbon dioxide equivalents due to the method of obtaining the aggregate and transporting the aggregates to the site of producing the material, (k) optionally calculating the amount of carbon dioxide equivalents due to mixing the binder and the aggregates, (l) calculating the amount of carbon dioxide equivalents due to transporting the binder, aggregates and/or the total hydrocarbon binder or mixing aggregate to the site of implementation of the material, (m) calculating the amount of carbon dioxide equivalents due to the implementation of the material, (n) calculating the total amount of carbon dioxide equivalents to obtain a material, and (o) transporting the hydrocarbon binder and aggregates to the site of production of the material, optionally mixing the hydrocarbon binder and aggregates, transported hydrocarbon binder, aggregates or total hydrocarbon binder or mixing the aggregate to site implementation of the material and implementing the material on the substrate.
