The method for producing a workpiece by press-hardening a semi-finished product, comprises heating the semi-finished product consisting of steel in a state, in which the structure of the used steel is partially austenitized, subjecting the semi-finished product to an air cooler, and hot-forming the heated semi-finished product, so that a structure exists in the workpiece, which has a complex-phase structure with predominant martensite portions and ferrite portions, after the hot-formation. The semi-finished product is heated at a temperature above Ac3-temperature (A3) of the used steel. The heating step comprises pre-heating at a temperature, which is smaller than the Ac1-temperature (A1) of the used steel. The hot-deformation takes place for beginning the ferrite formation and ending the ferrite formation. An independent claim is included for a workpiece made of steel alloy.
|
