PURPOSE: An electric fireplace with a carbon fiber planar heating element and an air cleaning filter is provided to pleasantly maintain room air as fine dust and all kinds of bacteria are removed by deodorizing balls. CONSTITUTION: An electric fireplace(A) comprises a filter unit(30), a planar heating element(50), and a ceramic radiation plate(60). The deodorizing balls(34) of the filter unit are embedded in a filter frame(32). The deodorizing balls are made of 50~70wt.% of illite, 15~25wt.% of activated charcoal, 8~12wt.% of synthetic zeolite, 4~5wt.% of titanium dioxide, and 4~6wt.% of manganese dioxide. The air passing through the filter unit is heat exchanged with the planar heating element, and the heated air is discharged through a hot air exhaust hole(14). The ceramic radiation plate is installed on the front side of a body frame, and emits radiant heat.
