<p>PURPOSE: A halogen-free flame-retarding coating composition is provided to have excellent flexability and bending resistance, and to not generate toxic gas from an elevator cable at fire. CONSTITUTION: A halogen-free flame-retarding coating composition is obtained by mixing 100.0 parts by weight of a cable coating base composition, as a flame retardant, 50 parts by weight of magnesium hydroxide, 30 parts by weight of aluminum hydroxide and 40-70 parts by weight of ammonium polyphosphate, 4-7 parts by weight of silicone gum, and 2 parts by weight of a phenol-based antioxidant. A coating composition for elevator cable sheath comprises 10 weight% of a polyolefin elastomer, 5-10 weight% of polypropylene consisting of ethylene-polypropylene-butene, 10weight% of polypropylene consisting of ethylene-propylene, 5 weight% of maleic anhydride-accepted polypropylene, 20 weight% of ethylene vinylacetate, 15 weight% of super low-density polyethylene, and 30-35 weight% of an ethylene propylene diene monomer.</p> |
