<p>The present invention concerns a gas valve (100) for controlling the flow of medical gas for oxygen therapy in case of spontaneous breathing. The gas valve (100) contains a connection component (110) to connect the gas valve to an external supply such as for example an external supply network (1) for medical gases at a pressure lower than 50 bars, although embodiments are not limited to this. The gas valve (100) also contains a regulating system (120) that is configured to select and supply a pulsating or continuous flow of medical gas in which the regulating system (120) contains a flow rate regulator (142) to controllable set the flow rate of the continuous flow.
