METHOD AND DEVICE FOR PREVENTING MANUALLY DESIGNATING IP ADDRESS WITHIN LOCAL AREA NETWORK

<p>Disclosed are a method and device for preventing manually designating an IP address within the local area network. The method includes: receiving a message sent by a terminal and deciding whether or not the message is sent by a host which manually designates the IP address according to a preset message filter rule table and a mapping list of media access control (MAC) addresses and IP addresses; and allowing the message to pass when it is judged that the message is sent by a host which does not manually designate the IP address and disallowing the message to pass when it is judged that the message is sent by the host which manually designates the IP address. By way of the technical solution in the present invention, the data service of the host which manually designates the IP address can be forbidden, reducing the probability of the IP address conflicting in the local area network.</p>
