摘要 #CMT# #/CMT# The barrel (21) has a case (23) for receiving a pivot arbor (25) and a spiral spring (27) that is mounted between an inner wall of the case and an outer wall of the pivot arbor. The spring is wound to provide mechanical energy to the barrel. A spring torque increasing device (22) comprises energy accumulating bent parts (24) formed on the spring such that the torque of the barrel is personalized based on winding tension of the spring. The spring and the bent parts are made of silicon, metal e.g. nickel, or metal alloy e.g. nickel-phosphorus alloy. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Barrel for use in a timepiece (claimed). #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The energy accumulating bent parts are formed on the spring, so that the quantity of material of the spring deformed for storing the energy is increased, thus enabling the barrel to maintain a constant equivalent or higher torque compared to existing barrels having S-shaped springs, regardless of degree of winding of the spring, while enabling the spring to be compact at rest state. The compactness of the spring is suited to positive and/or negative fabrication methods, thus allowing mass production of asymmetrical springs, which allow the barrel torque to be personalized according to the winding tension of the asymmetrical springs.
