The method involves mixing a sample of regenerated sand in equal ratio with bonding agent i.e. water glass bonding agent, under production condition of sand core or sand mold, for determination of soluble portion of agent in regenerated sand. The water is eluted from mixture, where total content of the water glass in eluate of silicon and sodium content is determined. The proportion of the water is removed from the total content of the water glass in the eluate. Content of other elements of the water glass is determined by titration and inductively coupled plasma spectroscopy.
