In accordance with the exemplary embodiments of the invention there is at least a method and an apparatus to perform operations including estimating, with a user equipment, one or more delays between receipts at the user equipment of transmissions from a plurality of transmission nodes (610); determining channel state information by compensating for the estimated one or more delays (620); and sending indications of the channel state information and the estimated one or more delays to at least one of the plurality of transmission nodes (630). Further, to perform receiving from a user equipment one or more indications of one or more delays between receipts at the user equipment of transmissions of a plurality of transmission nodes; determining, based on the received one or more delays, a transmission strategy for one or more subsequent transmissions from at least one of the plurality of transmission nodes to the user equipment; and implementing the determined transmission strategy.
