<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology for automatically executing function setting of each telephone terminal independently of a network configuration and without requiring special connection work or an interface related to the setting. <P>SOLUTION: A telephone terminal 1-2 having no setting originates a call to a telephone terminal 1-1 whose setting has been completed, to establish a call. The telephone terminal 1-2 transmits a request signal for setting data to the telephone terminal 1-1, when a user of its own telephone terminal performs predetermined operation. When receiving the request signal for the setting data; the telephone terminal 1-1 duplicates the setting data of its own telephone terminal and transmits it to the telephone terminal 1-2, according to predetermined operation by a user of its own telephone terminal.
